A little farther up the Kern Canyon, our Mill Creek Trail Adventure offers a quiet, wide open experience where we are often the only ones on the trail. This area occasionally has grazing cattle, and Mill Creek itself typically flows year round, creating a perfect habitat where California salamanders are often spotted. The trail is wide and easy to navigate, with several fun creek crossings and beautiful wildflowers in the spring. Its higher elevation brings cooler temperatures in summer, and in winter it is often sunny and warm even when the valley is cold and fogged in. Mill Creek is a peaceful, refreshing adventure for dogs who love nature and space to explore.
